Animal Statistic Review
Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center statistics are published for public review. The data highlights monthly and yearly animal statistics. We pride ourselves on our accomplishments with animal care and the progressive changes made to save more lives. Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center is proud to have achieved 92% overall live release rate in 2019! We were recently honored by the Petco Foundation with the Rachael Ray “Save them All” grant for excellence in our no-kill work. While 2020 has already proven a bit of a challenge, we are still successfully saving over 94% of the animals who come through our doors.
Asilomar Accords Statistics
The Asilomar accords data reporting method is a known industry standard format for reporting animal care data. Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center utilizes the Asilomar Live Release Rate which shows what percentage of animals left the shelter with a live outcome. Live outcomes include adoptions, returned to owners, transferred to rescues, and trap-neutered-return.
Shelter Animals Count
Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center reports monthly data reports to Shelter Animals Count national database. Shelter Animals Count is a new, collaborative initiative formed by a diverse group of stakeholders to create and share a national database of sheltered animal statistics, providing facts, and enabling insights that will save lives. Visit shelteranimalscount.org for more regional and national shelter data.
